Girl Scout Events

Game On! Sports 4 Girls donates significant time to the Girl Scouts of Utah offering programs that permit Brownie and Daisy troops to earn patches and badges relating to fair play, fitness, healthy living, sports and team building.

Curriculum: We coordinate with individual troops in order to customize the program topic and goal as well as date. Each troop secures its own meeting space. Our sessions typically run 45 minutes. Virtual options available!

Our agenda typically looks something like this:

We start out with a fun warm-up and stretching session, discussing the importance of both
We then follow with a fun game or two involving teams that addresses the program goal and stresses character-building concepts such as teamwork, fair play, etc. We also strive to teach a fundamental sport skill (i.e. throwing a ball with proper form).
It is crucial that at the completion of the game, or even during play if warranted, we take time to engage the girls in an interactive conversation about the appropriate messages. By posing different scenarios and discussing their associated feelings and emotions, we succeed in teaching a lesson.
We end with an empowering team challenge and cheer. We typically send home an educational sheet that reviews the lessons and messages of the session.

Cost: FREE! Game On! is proud to volunteer time depending upon time, of year, availability of staff, and convenience of location.

Outcome: The girls earn a badge or patch, learn, and have a blast.
